McGRATH CLAMBAKES, INC. ON TELEVISION Third generation Bakemaster T.R. McGrath has been featured on several well known television shows. And, In Summer of 2006 he joined Giada De Laurentiis aboard Schooner Adirondeck II with clambake dinners he prepared. Ms. De Laurentiis, host of Giada's Weekend Getaways on the Food Network, travel to cities and towns searching for the inside scoop on local activities and must try eats in each town for food-filled weekends. The segment debuted Friday, April 6 2007 and also aired on April 7th & 15th. |

Here's what you need to create this classic shore fest, according to T.R. McGrath, bake master and owner of McGrath Clambakes in Newport, RI (401.847.7743; riclambake.com). The menu includes lobsters, clams, mussels, corn (in the husk), potatoes and sausage - chourice, a Portuguese-style pork sausage, is McGrath's favorite. FEBRUARY 2001: Home Matters Host Chris McWatt and his crew shadowed T.R. and his team as they prepared an old fashioned New England clambake. Mr. McWatt participated in all of the activities that make for a successful clambake including the harvesting of seaweed, building of a large bon fire, food preparation and the 'traditional ringing of the bell'. |

Guests included master chef Julia Child (photo at left) who came to hear how T.R. prepared the bake before enjoying the traditional New England feast. |
